Loïc Guilloux

Loïc Guilloux was born in Montreal, Canada, but he spent much of his childhood and adolescence in France, where he began to study piano and sound engineering at the ITEMM (Institut des Technologies Européen des Metiers de la Musique-Institute of European Technologies in the Music Profession). In 1996 he moved to Montreal and studied jazz for two years specializing in playing the bass with M. Michel Donato for which he received special merit. Interested not only in sound in music, but also in sound composition, he received his B.A. in Electroacoustic Composition at the University of Montreal, with professors Francis Dhomont, Robert Normandeau, and Jean Piché. Currently Loïc Guilloux dedicates his time to musical composition and he is professor at the Mexican national audio archives, the Fonoteca Nacional.
